Colorado Athletics Directors Association Student Athlete Scholarship Program
Purpose of the scholarship: In accordance with the Colorado Athletics Directors Association's (CADA) purpose to support educational athletic programs through the promotion of the professional growth and image of interscholastic administrators, this scholarship will foster and recognize the partnership between the CADA and secondary education. Regional and local honorees will be presented certificates and the scholarship winners will be honored at the Annual Spring Conference in April. All scholarship money will be paid directly to the students for their first year of course work. CADA is: A professional organization administered by and for athletics directors for the purpose of promoting professional growth and image of interscholastic athletic administrators. CADA believes in developing positive programs that reward:
- The student who goes above and beyond the usual through hard work and discipline required by participation in high school athletics.
- Financial support for the scholarship program to come from the CADA treasury.
- Only students graduating during the current school year will be eligible for the scholarships. All nominees will be recognized with award certificates.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Involvement in school sponsored activities
- Involvement in activities outside of school (work, charities, etc.)
- Two letters of support
- A 500 word essay describing how co-curricular activities have enhanced the student's educational experience. Essays must be typed.
- A wallet size photograph suitable for reproduction must also be submitted with the application.
Scholarship Winners: During each school year CADA will award one $500 scholarship honoring the top high school male and female student-athlete.
